Meet Shannon Williams

Some people grow up around family businesses. I grew up watching them being built.

My grandfather owned several small businesses in our hometown, and from an early age I witnessed the hard work, determination, and commitment it takes to build something from the ground up. Those lessons shaped the way I see business and continue to guide how I serve my clients today.

I began my professional career in public accounting with the CPA firm Habif, Arogeti & Wynn, where I developed a strong foundation in accounting and business operations. During that chapter of my life, I met my former husband, and together we later made the decision that I would stay home to raise our son.

While raising him, I never stopped working. Instead of pursuing a traditional corporate career during those years, we built and grew businesses together. We expanded operations, secured city contracts, became preferred vendors, and experienced firsthand the rewards and challenges of entrepreneurship. Those years taught me lessons about business ownership that simply can't be learned from a textbook.

When my son was older, I returned to the corporate world and joined Global Payments, where I served in executive administration, facilities coordination, and project coordination. Working alongside senior leadership, I managed large-scale construction projects, corporate budgets, capital expenditures, vendor relationships, and served as the liaison between executive leadership and teams across the globe. It was an incredible opportunity to learn how a Fortune 500 company plans, budgets, communicates, and executes at a high level.

During my time at Global Payments, I also returned to college to finish the degree I had started years earlier at community college. What began as a goal to complete my bachelor's degree eventually led me to earn my MBA. At the time, I believed project management would become the next chapter of my career, and that education strengthened the operational, financial, and leadership skills I continue to use every day.

Then COVID changed everything.

A former coworker introduced me to Intuit, where I began supporting customers through TurboTax and QuickBooks. What started as helping people with tax preparation quickly became something much bigger. I realized that while taxes are important, business owners need far more than help once a year.

They need someone beside them all year long.

They need organized bookkeeping, accurate financial reporting, payroll, business guidance, operational systems, and someone who understands how every piece of their business works together.

That realization led me to launch Premier Alliance Tax Service. As my clients grew, their needs grew as well, and it became clear that tax preparation alone wasn't enough. The business naturally evolved into Southern Embassy Business Solutions—a company built to provide complete business support under one roof.

Today, Southern Embassy offers a full range of business services, including bookkeeping, payroll, business tax services, financial reporting, entity formation, business advisory, CRM implementation, automation, and operational support. As each client's business grows, we bring together the right professionals and solutions to meet their changing needs.
